Beautiful, Batik from Bali!
Updated: Mar 20
A bit of alliteration going on here :-) but what is Batik all about?
Indonesia has a historical tradition of dyeing fabrics - Batik is hand stamped or drawn in wax on a piece of white fabric that is then dyed as a complete piece, or Ikat which dyes threads of material which are then woven into a piece of material.
We have taken a video to show what we are involved with at Islands & Oceans in Java and Bali. We hope you find it interesting - we find it fascinating!
